Formed in September 2001, Joy promotions launched JOY, a club night combining two rooms, Room1 playing funky, soulful house & Room 2 playing club anthems and classic cuts. As it was a hugely successful night JOY paved the way for the resurgence in old skool and club anthem events.

Exposure was a night run by the company to highlight the promising talent the music scene has to offer. Live bands were encouraged to send in demos and perform, overheads were covered and young bands brought their friends and fans along.

Due to the success of Exposure the night was developed and run in Firewater for a while, Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow on a Monday night.

Other club nights are being negotiated and various gigs being organised for the near future.

The company holds showcases in g2 and regular slots in the 13th Note CAfe, Liquid Lounge and the Edge as well as gigs in other venues including Barfly.
